How I work
A practical engineering philosophy — not motivational copy. Diagnose the problem. Prefer systems that stay understandable.
-
Diagnose before prescribing.
Understand the actual problem before choosing the solution.
-
Fix the root cause.
Do not repeatedly treat symptoms.
-
Make it understandable.
Complex systems can still be clearly explained.
-
Prefer reliable over clever.
A boring system that works is better than an impressive system that does not.
-
Automate what should be repeatable.
Humans should not repeatedly perform predictable tasks.
-
Keep control where it matters.
Use cloud services where appropriate, but retain local control where it provides meaningful value.
-
Use AI, but remain accountable.
AI can accelerate work. It does not remove responsibility for the outcome.
-
Security should be calm.
Good security should improve confidence rather than manufacture fear.
On AI
AI is a tool. The human remains responsible for the reasoning, architecture, validation and outcome.
